Is there anywhere where i can register my vote, for having a asda in the town.

Im fed up with seeing letters against having an asda,

We need, I need an asda in the town, Somerfield and Tescos need competion.

Am i right in thinking if we get an asda, we get a new bus station, new swimming pool, new library-which we need !

I mean i wont be doing all my shopping in asda even though i live in town, i will be going where the bargins are,

we need an asda!

I'm amazed that we're still seeing the same old opinions, because that is ALL they are,  from the pro Asda group.

The argument IS NOT about Asda, it is about  the estuary site.

My position, and I believe the majority of opponents , is against ANY development on the estuary site, Asda, Waitrose M&S or Harrods!! NO commercial development on the estuary site.

There ARE alternative sites, but  EDDC will not be in favour of them because they won't get their "pound of flesh",  AKA section 106 of the town and country planning act. That pound of flesh comes not primarily in a new pool, sports centre or library ... all of which we have, but in the 27 or so expensive flats due to be built on the site.

Somewhere, but I am not sure where or when, I think that I have heard it said that the ASDA development will not pay for all of the things that have been listed as being built as developer contributiions  when the proposed development goes forward. I am sure that someone has said that EDDC will have to put up about 1.8 million to make sure tha all the projected facilities are built.
It is one of those situations where listening to presentations something that is said on the platform or round a table lodges in the brain cells only to pop out later on.
