Darlings of the UK soul scene Hannah Williams and the Affirmations played a brilliant set at the community stage on Monday, May 29.
Whether singing deeply emotional songs such as 'Late Nights and Heartbreak' or lively ones like '50 foot Woman', which had the audience up and dancing, Hannah Williams and her Affirmations delivered an impressive performance.
Dave Thorley of Sidbury said: "Hannah is one of the best live acts I've seen in a very long time. I particularly enjoyed her interpretation of 'Dazed and Confused'."
Julie Thorley added: “Hannah has been a highlight of the festival for me. Her vocals are so powerful and moving.”
Unathi Broom, a university student from Exeter, said: “Hannah is so inspiring. You can see that she doesn't just perform, she really feels the music."
Backstage after the set Hannah said: “It's been wonderful to play to such an intergenerational crowd, from grandparents to babies and everyone in between. This is a brilliant, family-friendly festival in a beautiful setting and it's great to be part of it.”
