Friday is ‘local bands’ day, Saturday will celebrate roots and country music, while Sunday has been designated as a day for chilling out.

Headline acts are Revelation Roots, a collective of talented reggae musicians from across the South West, on Friday; the Sarah Yeo Band with sounds of country and folk on Saturday; and the Adam Sweet Band, who will be entertaining the crowds with rootsy rock and blues on Sunday. All performances will take place on a purpose-built stage inside a beautiful stretch tent.

Co-owner Andrea Broadhurst said: “We had such a fantastic time putting on our first Summer Sessions festival last year that we decided to do it all again!

"There’s a lot to be said for going to a smaller independent festival like this, where everyone is just there to have a great time and enjoy fantastic music.”

Onsite catering will be provided by Coldharbour Field Kitchen. Co-owner Beth Ashfield said: “We’ll be cooking everything to order. Our ethos is to offer excellent food based on local produce, so there will be fresh pizzas, tempting dishes cooked using our wood-fired oven and BBQ grill, and loads of other food choices to suit a wide range of appetites. No-one will go hungry!”

The Field Kitchen also offers a wide choice of drinks including West Country ciders, local ales and artisan spirits including Coldharbour’s own Flaming Barrel gin.

The festival is limited to just 400 tickets, with the aim of creating an intimate, friendly atmosphere. Weekend tickets include free camping and sites for live-in vehicles, with day tickets also available.

The Solstice Sessions run from 4pm on June 21 to 8pm on June 23. Weekend tickets are £100 and day tickets start from £30 – but there are currently discounted Early Bird prices for anyone buying before April 30.
