TABLE TENNIS: Ping-pong participants intent on starting a table tennis club in Newton Poppleford have issued a plea for a full-size indoor table to play on.

They hope Herald readers, who might have one that is no longer needed, could be willing to part with it for a reasonable price.

Club organisers will collect the table.

“We have everything else in place we just need the table or help with donations to fund a new one around £300,” said David Zirker.

“We have the venue and members ready to start. We just need the table.”
