BREAKING: Man trapped under tractor in Newton Pop

Police have closed Pinn Lane between Northmostown and Otterton.

Emergency services are in Newton Poppleford helping a man who is trapped underneath a tractor.

Police, paramedics and the fire service have attended the incident on the road between Northmostown and Otterton.

A police spokesperson said: “Police and emergency services remain at the scene – the extent of the driver’s injuries are unknown at this time.”

“The tractor had been towing a trailer when it overturned after leaving a field in the area.”

They added the road would remain closed ‘for some time’.

The air ambulance is in attendance and has landed in a nearby field.

Emergency services responded to the call at 12.50pm this afternoon (Monday).
