Emergency services have cordoned off the Eastern end of Sidmouth beach after they recovered a body at the bottom of cliffs this afternoon (Wednesday).

Police and coastguard are in attendance.

A police spokesperson said officers are at the scene investigating an unexplained death, although the death was not being treated as suspicious.
