Another Ottery shop has announced it will be closing after Celebration Cakes revealed it shuts its doors for good in January.

The Silver Street business is owned by Joan Maynard, who said: “I have enjoyed meeting so many people and helping you to design your cakes,

“Thank you for your support and I hope that you will be still ordering cakes from me as I will continue my baking and designing at home.”

Last week Millstone Bakery revealed it will close down on Christmas Eve, and Mrs Maynard said her shop will close on Thursday, January 31 next year.

But she did confirm she will still be displaying her cakes in the window until the premises are let.
