Classic cars event goes ahead but fun day cancelled because of weather

Bad weather means that the Ottery St Mary Carnival fun day has been cancelled but the Classic Car event is going ahead as planned.

The decision to cancel the fun day has been made with safety in mind because of the weather forecast.

Organisers said: “We would like to thank everyone who has donated their time to help with this event and hope to do something similar in due course.”

The Classic Car Show is still going ahead at Chanters House in Ottery. There’s a chance to see some amazing old vehicles and have a cup of tea.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “The cars are arriving and we are all set for a great day.”
