A Sidmouth College cross country runner will be representing her county in a regional race tomorrow.

Kate Vine will be taking part in the South West Schools Championships at Blaise Castle in Bristol as part of the Devon team.

The 16-year-old qualified for the challenge after placing fifth in Inter Girls category of the Devon County Cross Country Championships in Plymouth last month.

That competition also saw Abi Pyne finish in 29th in the Junior Girls category, Toby Garrick place 13th in the Year Seven Boys, Rory Morgan 15th in Junior Boys and Lee Clayden and Ben West finish 15th and 16th respectively in the Senior Boys.

Toby Garrick and Rory Morgan have been selected as Devon’s reserves for their respective groups.
