The family of one of the victims of the Age Concern coach crash in Cornwall have paid tribute to their ‘vivacious’ mother and grandmother.

Carol Muldoon, 68, from Newton Poppleford, was killed in the crash at Morval near Looe on May 13.

Police have now also formally identified the other victim as Margaret Luxton, 61, from Exmouth.

It is understood that Mrs Muldoon was travelling on the Age Concern Exmouth coach trip, operated by Carmel Coaches, with her husband John.

In a statement, her family said: “Our hearts have been broken by the loss of our vivacious mother and grandmother, who made us and those around her laugh more than anyone else in the world.

“We take comfort, however, in the knowledge that her last years and moments were spent in the arms of John, undoubtedly the love of her life.”

The driver of the coach, a 57-year-old man from Exeter, was arrested following the crash on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and released on police bail.
