Firefighters tackle suspected arson in Sidmouth

FIREFIGHTERS raced to the Bowd to tackle a suspected act of arson last night (Monday).

Two engines from Sidmouth rushed to an outbuilding at the Bowd at around 8.50pm.

Crews found a sofa in the premises was alight and worked to extinguish the flames a sofa within an outbuilding alight and got to work extinguishing.

They suspected the cause of the blaze was arson and the police were also called to the incident.
