A group which is getting East Devon residents to put their walking boots on has raised more than £2,000 for charity at the same time.
Upwards of 60 people take part in the organised jaunts around the area, which finish off with a home-baked cake and refreshments.
Walkers from Sidmouth and Ottery are part of East Devon Walk This Way, and Gill Ruddick from the group said it is always a ‘friendly, sociable occasion’.
And the exercise has also done charities good as well as those taking part with donations rolling in, allowing Gill to present cancer charity Macmillan with a cheque for £1,500 this month.
