Barbecue food, face painting and live music was enjoyed by everyone as Sidmouth Emmanuel Baptist Church held a free fun day to give back to the community.

The event was held at Sidmouth Town AFC’s ground at Manstone Playing Fields and was treated with sunshine and a well-attended turnout.

The next church event will take place tomorrow (Saturday) when the church holds a quiz night.

Starting from 7pm, teams of four are welcome and places can be booked by contacting church community worker Mark on 07887 372116.

For those who want time and space to consider Christianity, a seven-session course is on offer and will be held at the church.

Two times are available - Mondays, beginning June 30, from 11.30am to 12.30pm or Fridays, beginning July 5, from 7pm to 8.15pm.

For more information or to book places at the quiz night or Christianity course, contact Mark.
