Banking staff from Sidmouth and Honiton are teaming up to make a difference to help those living with dementia.

Members of both Lloyds TSB branches have offered their services to bake and serve cake and tea at a special dance organised by the Sid Valley and Honiton memory cafes.

Users of the cafes have been invited to enjoy a pleasant afternoon of music and dance on Saturday, November 4, in St Francis Church Hall.

Sid Valley Memory Café chairman Rachel Johnstone said: “For us it is a great to link with Honiton, a larger group, and for members of both memory cafes, it will be amazing to see the friendship strike up.

“Our volunteers will have a chance to kick back and relax and have a dance.

“It will link in with dementia awareness training the staff have had about how banks can support people with dementia and their carers who are clients with the bank.

Maxine Falconer, from the Sidmouth Lloyds team, said the company is supporting mental health causes and encouraging its staff to make a difference to others.
