A Sidmouth-based marine cleaning firm is celebrating after winning a national prestigious accolade.

New Wave Marine, which is a marine waste management and domestic cleaning provider, is one of the South West’s fastest growing family businesses.

During a special ceremony in London, the company was given the South West Business of the Year Award by the Family Business United, which champions UK businesses on the domestic and world stages.

Rob Bolton, a Sidmouth entrepreneur, said: “New Wave Marine has more than
20 employees and we are branching out into the
global market place going forward – especially in Poland.

“We clean superyachts, Royal Fleet Auxiliary
vessels, ferries and deliver waste management services, especially in the fast
growing domestic cleaning market.”

Jason Parsons, the company’s managing director, said: “We were voted for by the public online, and very honoured to have received this accolade.”
