Orchestra aims to inspire as many people as possible to enjoy classical music

“A powerful and lovely new programme” of classical music is being promised by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne orchestra, when they perform in Sidmouth on Thursday, August 23.

They will be playing music ranging from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Niccolo Paganini.

The orchestra say their objective is to inspire as many people as possible, across all generations, to enjoy classical music. They tour all over the world, constantly adding new works to their repertoire, aiming to perform both popular works and those that are less well known, from a variety of musical epochs.

They say it is irrelevant to their musicians whether they are playing in a little village church or the Sydney Opera House. In Sidmouth they will be in St Giles & St Nicholas’ Church at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the Information Centre and are £16 for adults, pensioners £14, students/children £12.
