TRIO CONGRATULATED: Sidmouth Town Council congratulated local personalities named in the New Year’s Honours.

Olympian Mary King was awarded an MBE while meteorologist Professor Brian Golding got an OBE. Colaton Raleigh community stalwart Doris Russell bagged a BEM.

LASER EVENT: Sidmouth Sailing Club has bagged permission from the town council to use The Ham for a Laser Class open meeting on September 8.
