Guest musicians will join Pete Allen’s band for three concerts at Sidholme Hotel

Pete Allen formed his first jazz band in October 1978 and has chosen to celebrate his 40th anniversary with a jazz weekend in Sidmouth.

It will take place in the beautiful Music Room at Sidholme Hotel, which is also his new venue for Jazz in the Afternoon.

On Friday, October 26, at 8pm, the Pete Allen Hot Four will welcome trumpeter Enrico Tomasso as their guest.

The following evening will see the return to Sidmouth of old friend Dave Browning (piano) at 8pm. He will also play with the Hot Four, giving the audience the rare treat of hearing two jazz pianists playing duets at one grand piano. The final performance will be at 3pm, on Sunday, October 28, by the Pete Allen Hot Seven, with violin virtuoso Ben Holder as their guest.

Admission for the first two concerts is £13.50 and the third is £15.50. Weekend tickets covering all three shows are available at £37, or at £50 to include sponsorship.

Tel. 07899 925194.
