Yellow weather warnings issued for this weekend

Public is urged to stay safe as UK braces itself for yet more bad weather.
High winds and heavy rain is set to batter Sidmouth this weekend, prompting ‘yellow warnings’ to be released by the Met Office.
From 9am this morning (Friday, January 31), an Atlantic low will cause heavy rain to smash into Devon and surrounding areas, with winds climbing to over 50 miles per hour.
The foul weather will continue into Saturday, and warnings have been issued for high winds until the following day, when by 9am, things should have died down.
Met Office officials have said the combination of strong winds, large waves and high tides will lead to ‘hazardous conditions at times in some coastal areas.’
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Some exposed coasts could see gusts of up to 50 to 60 miles per hour. We would advise members of the public to stay away from big waves, and to keep safe.”
