SIDBURY Fair week survived a soggy start to draw in the crowds.

Downpours on the Friday forced the cancellation of an opening day Tug-of-war but a throng of festivities followed, to the delight of villagers.

More than 300 people took part in a fun run on Sunday and villagers enjoyed the traditional throwing of hot pennies on Tuesday as well as photographic and children’s painting competitions.
