Eight races are on offer with a start time of noon and 124 entries have been received.

The Mixed Open race is a qualifier for the Timico Mixed Open Championship final to be held at Cheltenham in May and among those entered are Dicky Bob and Mic’s Delight.

The two were seen in a thrilling battle up the finishing straight at Cothelstone last season, with Dicky Bob coming home a quarter-of-a-length winner. Mic’s Delight has won two of his starts this season, both at Wadebridge.

He could well put on another bold front-running performance for his owner/trainer/jockey Jennifer Davenport. Miss Gotaway and Mon Parrain also hold entries and are likely to be there at the finish.

The Everys Solicitors-sponsored members race looks competitive, with the Ben Robarts owned and ridden Beat The Tide for trainer Stuart Sampson standing out after his eight-length win at Upcott last May.

River Myth is another from the same yard who ran well in second at this meeting last season and will be high in the betting.

They could come up against the prolific winning mare Whenharrymetsally, who has clocked up eleven wins to date for owner Hannah Broggio.

There’s a massive 26 entries for the Agri Farming Technology restricted race with recent Chaddesley Corbett runner-up Delkantra among them for the David Brace team, Palmaria a runner-up her last season for champion jockey Will Biddick and Wadebridge winner Acadian for team Lewis all looking ready for progression to the next level.

In the Exeter Racecourse-sponsored intermediate race, Broadclyst for the Robert Chanin team looks an exciting prospect, having won at both the Wadebridge meetings, Inch Rock has the booking of champion jockey Will Biddick, who will be on a high having just got engaged, and Honest Deeds from team Summersby will hold hopes of following up on his Upcott Cross and Vauterhill wins last season.

In the PPORA Dodson & Horrell-sponsored novice riders race, Pink Eyed Pedro could relish the going for the David Brace team for young Conor Brace to ride, connections of Mic’s Delight may chose this race over the mixed open and could be high in the betting arena, whilst Robin de Boss is another to catch the eye after his decent place form last season.

The mares’ maiden race has several unknown debutants among the 20 entries, with Act Like You Know and Wind Tor standing out with their decent place form. Whilst in the final race of the day, the open maiden, suggestions on first glance are Ballybruff, Dragon de La Tour, Tamarstone and Theboss On The Hill.

For those wanting to have a flutter, the bookies are always in attendance to take bets on the horses running.

There are many trade stands, which include Taunton Cider and Zara’s Country Accessories, which could be ideal for ladies looking for Cheltenham Festival wear.

Entrance to the course is £10 per person up to £30 per car, with children under 16 free. Dogs on leads are welcome.

The course is located off the B3167, 3 miles from Wellington and one mile from Milverton, with the course post code TA12 0QY.
