The rain stayed away until after the Sidmouth Golf Club ladies returned to the clubhouse after the fun ‘3 clubs and a putter’ competition.
There were great scores in first and second place of 37 points- Vici Topping beating Debbie Snelgrove on countback and fantastic to see some relative newcomers to golf in the prizes - well done ladies! Coming in third position was Geri Whitrow with a respectable 32 points.
Penny Anderson was the only lady to score ‘a 2’ on the day - there had been a few weeks since a ‘2’ was scored - so a good ‘roll over’ for Penny.
Last Friday, it was Russell Bess who came out on top in the Club Stableford with another solid score of 45. David Fitzhenry on 44 was a close second with David Hall coming third with 42 points.
The Monday Stableford was profitable for Nigel Sharp, winning top prizes in both the club and seniors competitions with 39 points. Dave Atkinson's 36 took second on countback from Richard Powell in the Seniors Eclectic. Jonty Clews continues to lead with 49, ahead of Phil Spencer in second on 52 and David Hall trying to close with 55 nett.
