After 12 months of tough training, Sidmouth Surf Life Saving Club Nippers (Age 9- 13), took on teams from across the country at the Annual British Surf Life Saving Championships, held at Branksome Chine beach, Bournemouth over two full days.
Competing against 30 clubs from across the UK in a field of 314 competitors, Sidmouth had some fantastic results, with some outstanding team and individual performances in challenging conditions.
Sidmouth came home with six medals: 1 Gold, 3 Silver and two bronze.
Standout performances were Gold in the Girls Ocean Swim for Erin P, who also won Silver in the Girls Golden Nipper (Swim Board Run) and combined with Ellie B and Chloe P for Silver in the Girls Board Relay.
Charlie E performed brilliantly to win Silver in the Boys Beach Sprint, while there were Bronze medals for Thomas P in the Boys Ocean Swim and Ellie B in the Girls 1km Beach Run.
