The race consisted of a 750m open water sea swim in calm conditions that Luke completed in 14:01.

On to the 20k undulating bike course which Luke finished in 45:52 leaving him sixth overall with just the run to go. Luke had the best run of the day; 22:15 for just short of four miles. This excellent run moved him up to fifth overall in a total time of 1.22.18, a really excellent result.
