Beer remain top of the East Devon Short Mat Bowls Evening League Division One, but it is close, for Seaton have the same number of points, albeit from having played one game more.

Two other teams who have games in hand on the top two and have both only been beaten four times – Sidbury A and Upottery – also have claims to this season’s top honour.

Beer also lead the way in Afternoon League Division One where they hold a two point lead over Sidford Blue with both teams having played 10 games so far.

It’s more clear cut at the moment in Afternoon League Division Two where Seaton Blue hold a five point lead at the top of the table.
