Beer still best in Afternoon Division One of East Devon Short Mat Bowls League

There was a big surprise in the East Devon Short Mats Bowls League last week.

Evening Division Two leaders Upottery had their splendid run of victories ended as they tasted defeat for the first time, beaten at home for the first time this term.

Evening Division One saw home wins for Awliscombe and Colyton.

In the Evening Division Two, aside of that Upottery defeat there were home victories for Awliscombe and Seaton Cliff.

Afternoon Division One saw home wins for Colyton , Beer ,and a draw for Musbury. Afternoon Division Two saw a home win for Combe St Nicholas and a draw for Colyton B.
