Cooks continue to march on in Devon Mixed Pairs

13:27 22 August 2014

There was additional good news for all at the club with the news of yet more success for Ron and Sylvia Cook, writes Susie Bonnell.

The pair had a very early start on Monday of this week when they had to be ready for a 10am start at the New Plymouth Club for a Devon Mixed Pairs quarter-final tie against Richard Avant and Jennie Snell.

Clearly the early start and long journey didn’t put the Cook’s off, though it was a mighty close contest!

Ron and Sylvia triumphed 19-18 to secure a last four berth and we all wish them the very best of luck for that semi final to be played at Bitton Park on Sunday, September 14.
