Archant

Ottery 3rd XI skipper John Tierney lost a crucial toss which saw his young side inserted on a truly awful wicket during last weekend’s short trip to face Exwick 2nd XI, writes Ian Townsend.

The league newcomers were skittled for just 41.

Tierney top scored with 14.

The hosts knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets, two of which fell to budding seamer, Luke Tierney (2-11).
