Sidmouth Cricket Club youngsters return to the nets

Sidmouth colts are getting ready for a new season and indoor nets begin early next month.

The colts winter nets are being held at the St Johns School Sports Hall with Monday, February 3 the night for the Under-10s (6pm-7pm) followed buy theUnder-11s (7pm-8pm).

The following Monday it’ll be the turn of Under-12s and Under-13s who will combined for a two-hour session from 6pm to 8pm.

Thereafter the age groups will share the facility every other Monday with the Under-10s and Under-11s back on duty on February 17.

This coming season Sidmouth will field teams at Under-15 (with Paul Dodds), Under-11 (with Stuart Clode), Under-10 softball (with Mark Denning and the Girls section will again run with the latest news being that exciting development of a ladies senior team for the young girls to aspire to play in.

Rob Fowler is again co-ordinating the Sidmouth Colts cricket for this year and anybody wanting to get a place at the winter nets is asked to do so through him as numbers are expected to be limited. Call him on 07989 151755.

The club’s Colts registration night is set to be on Friday, April 18 and the Friday night coaching will then run at Fortfield all the way through to the last Friday in July.
