Former Palairet player, Mark Thomas, won Division One of the latest Monthly Medal, kindly sponsored by Molyneux Financial Planning, with a net 61, writes John Johnson.

The 59-year-old’s round included a hole in one at the 12th and helped him finish three clear of Wilbert Hastie with Dudley Taylor a further shot back.

In Division Two Simon Emerson took the spoils with a net 65, one clear of Brian Margison with Andy Dean a further shot back. Nick Bater’s net 73 also included a hole in one, this one coming at the 6th hole.

Division Three was won by Jerry Russell with a net 64 ahead of Dan Churchill and Mike Searle. John Jones leads the race for both the Eclectic Cup and the Cock of the Green Trophy.
