Beer Albion are looking at playing a dozen league games over the final two months of the Macron League Premier Division season.

The Fishermen currently sit eighth in the top flight and are 11 points clear of the bottom three [the bottom three clubs being the ones who must apply for re-election at the end of the campaign].

However, it will not have escaped the attention of Beer player-boss Richard Walker that his team have played three games more than the side than the team currently third from bottom – Hatherleigh Town – who they meet this coming Saturday (March 10).

Of their remaining 12 games, no fewer than nine are away from their Furzebrake home, starting with the coming trip to Hatherleigh.

With two of their next four being at home, it does mean that seven of their final eight games are going to be on the road.

After the trip to Hatherleigh, Beer entertain 10th placed Newton St Cyres (March 17), then host 12th placed Clyst Valley (March 24) before a trip to second placed Newtown on the final Saturday of March.

A couple of wins in the next three games will end any fears the Fishermen may have of being dragged into a relegation scrap.
