The Robins suffered a disappointing Easter with a 3-1 Good Friday defeat followed swiftly by a 3-3 Easter Monday draw at Plymstock United, writes Alan Beer.

It had all begun so well at Manstone Lane against Sidmouth Town with the Robins one up in the 20th minute when Callum Shipton netted.

However, the home side went into the break on level terms thanks to a Jake Boyland goal five minutes before half-time.

In the second half a close encounter swung the way of the hosts when Andrew Thompson scored in the 70th minute and a third, two minutes fro time from Alex Raistrick condemned Budleigh to defeat.

On Easter Monday the team travelled to Plymstock where they again started brightly and took a fifth minute lead through Matt Dawson.

However, once again a lead was lost when the home side levelled in the 19th minute with Tom Gllis netting from close range after the ball came back off the upright.

Two minutes into the second half Mylews Easton fired the home side in front, but parity was swiftly restored by Mark Lever.

Two minutes after levelling the Robins went ahead when a deep cross from the right by player-boss Danny Williams was tucked away by Aaron Denny.

In the 93rd minute Budleigh were cruelly denied all three points the hosts were awarded a dubious penalty when Sam Woodin was adjudged to have fouled a home player.

The spot kick was stroked home by Easton to leave the Robins having to settle for a point.

The team were back in action last night against University and, on Saturday they play a swift return with Sidmouth Town at Greenway Lane (3pm).
