East Devon Cup competitions AGM date announced

The annual general meeting of the Ottery St Mary-based East Devon cup competitions is being held early next month.
The clubhouse at Washbrook Meadow is the venue for the meeting, which will discuss entries for the 2018 Morrison Bell, Grandisson and Golesworthy Cup competitions.
The general criteria in terms of eligibility for the three cups is that clubs must be within a 20-mile radius of Ottery, unless they have been invited by the organising committee of the competition.
In terms of the Golesworthy Cup, the competition is open to teams that play in Divisions Five to Eight of the Macron League, while other clubs of equal standard may be accepted by invitation of the committee. No player shall be allowed to take part in this competition if he has played more than ten games in the Macron Devon and Exeter League Division Four or higher during the current season. No contract players allowed. Players must also have achieved the age of 16 before playing in this competition.
The Morrison Bell is for clubs playing in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division and lower. No player who has participated in any higher league than the Peninsula Premier will be eligible to play in this competition. For the Grandisson Cup, the level clubs need to be playing at is as high as Macron Devon and Exeter League Division One and below. No player shall be allowed to take part in this competition if he has played more than six games in the Devon and Exeter Premier League or higher during the current season.

The entry fee is £20 per competition. Items that are to be considered at the annual general meeting must be with the secretary [Neil Anthony], as per rules, at least 14 days before the January 8 meeting.
