Otterton gave their Fresha League Division Seven promotion bid a real boost with an emphatic victory over the visitors.

New signing Carl Martin needed just five minutes to mark his first start with a goal, rifling the ball home from distance.

The new man then bagged a swift second before Ben Yeomans and a bullet header from Lee Mitchell put Otterton four up.

Ottery pulled a goal back before Martin completed his hat-trick.

Early in the second half Yeomans netted his second and then completed his treble from the penalty spot after Aiden Mclean was brought down.

The visitors were then reduced to ten men by a straight red card after which Ryan Mitchell scored the hosts eighth and final goal. The final word fell to the visitors, but this was Otterton’s day.
