This has been a tough season to date for Newton Poppleford, but the second Saturday of December gave cause for double delight as both teams bagged Macron league wins.

The first team claimed a Division Two victory at the 10th time of asking.

After nine straight defeats they enjoyed a 4-1 win at Dawlish.

Miroslov Damasiewicz (2), Matt Rasmussen and Grzegorz Wojtowicz, score the Popples goals. The second team won their Division Seven game, defeating Kenn Valley United 6-4.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the first team host Newtown and the second team travel to Chagford.
