United are in a very good position 15 games into a 28-match campaign.

They have reached Christmas still unbeaten away from home in the league with five wins and a draw, an impressive 23 goals scored and just two conceded!

Factor in their seemingly invisible away form that they travel in seven of their next eight Fresha games, and the odds are stacked in their favour that they can go on and take a seat at the top table of Devon and Exeter league football next season.

The trip to Heavitree sees them looking to secure a double after they opened the season with a 3-1 win against the Heavies at home on match day one of the campaign.

Their programme in 2014 begins with a January 4 home meeting with an Exmouth Amateurs side they have already beaten 3-1 and the begins a ruin of six successive away matches before their next home game, a February 22 East Devon derby with ailing Newton Poppleford.

United travel to Wellington on January 11, a week later they are at Tipton St John before ending the first month of the new year at University.

They begin February at Elmore, one of three sides to beat them in the league so far (each time it’s been by a single goal!) and they then visit Cullompton Rangers and Bickleigh before that meeting with Popples.
