Fresha League latest - a round-up of local Easter action

Sidmouth Town Reserves have one game left in their Division Three campaign.

The Vikings’ last game is on Saturday when they entertain already promoted Upottery.

The game has greater significance as the villagers need to win to stand any chance of going up as champions.

For Ricky Pitter and his men they need to win to hold onto a fourth spot which may be enough to see them play in Division Two next season.

Three teams go up automatically, but the league sometimes promote more depending on divisional sizes.

Tipton St John have eight games left to ensure they avoid a bottom three slot in Division One and with it relegation.

They travel to Bow on Saturday and Bickleigh On Easter Monday, the latter looks a key game for them.

Newton Poppleford have two games remaining to try and avoid going through the entire Fresha campaign without a win. Their penultimate game in on Saturday when they visit the side sitting immediately above them at the foot of the table, Cullompton Rangers.

There are still nine games left in Otterton’s season and they know that if they win them all they will be champions no matter what current leaders Uplowman do in their remaining games. On Saturday they travel to Amory Green and then on Monday they host Exwick.

Fluxton play today (Good Friday) when they entertain a Starcross Generals side that sit one place above them in Division Six.

Ottery St Mary play the first of their four remaining league games when they go to Topsham Town on Saturday.
