Sidmouth Warriors Under-10s once again given the blues by Brixington

11:02 13 March 2014

Sidmouth Warriors 1, Brixington Blues 3

For the third consecutive season Sidmouth Warriors Under-10s came off second best to their Exmouth-based rivals, writes Justin Ashby.

The Blues started strongly and took the lead with a good goal which was cancelled out by Tim Goody who brilliantly finished off a determined run from the halfway line.

The Warriors took control in the second half and should have taken the lead when Joe Ashby’s shot broke the goal frame but not the net!

The boys paid for the missed opportunities when the Blues added a second on the counter attack and a late third as the Warriors chased the game.

The margins between the top teams are very slim and the Warriors need to believe they can win these games.
