Goals from Ashley Small and Adrian Small saw Tipton St John to a Macron league Division Three 2-1 home win over Tedburn St Mary.

The star man in terms of the Tipton performance was Jamie Connett.

The win keeps Tipton in the thick of the promotion race as they sit fourth in the table with 25 points from their 11 games to date, eight of which they have won. With two more games to be played before the halfway stage of the campaign is reached, Tipton sit four points behind third-placed Crediton United, who have played a game more.

Tomorrow Tipton, who have been beaten just once at home this season, host a Royal Oak side that sit one place and six points behind them in the table.
