A large field of Sidmouth ladies’ played a practice medal on Wednesday, writes Penny Ashby.

The reason for this was that the ground was still too soggy for the first serious qualifying medal of the season!

Hopefully conditions will improve from now on for a packed early season of golf events.

Susan Hackett was the winner this week on countback from Mavis Vanstone.

Third place was taken by Sheila Thomson.
