OPG retained their 100 per cent record when they came up against Signs South West. It was SSW who started the stronger with a 5-4 lead at quarter time, but by half way OPG were 15-9 in front and from there they didn’t look back, winning by 36 -17 and denying SSW a point.

Tracy Moran had a fine game at centre for OPG whilst Ellie Marok was the Signs star at WD.

Flamingos held on to second spot thanks to their win over Uplowman where Trish Warwick was in fine form and once again Emma Burrough had a good game for the hosts. Flamingos remain two points behind OPG whilst Uplowman picked up a point from their 27-45 defeat.

Hi Q dished up a fine performance in a 30-19 win over Sidmouth Toucans. They led from the off thanks to good work from Michelle Beckett. Despite good work from Sarah Sparks the Toucans are still looking for their first win of the season. The win sees Hi Q into third spot, pushing SSW into fourth.

At the top of the second division Tip Top Trees and Otter Valley Dairy are beginning to open up a small lead.

The Trees were up against JD Tyres, but with Amy Vine in great form they were in control from the start and although Katie White worked hard for JD they just couldn’t get on terms and had to be content with a point from their 23-33 defeat.

JD held onto third place on goal difference from a resurgent Pixies who seem to have got over their recent run of defeats with a comfortable victory over Howden Hawks. With Rowan Bradford playing well the Pixies were in front from the start and despite the Hawk’s efforts, and in particular those of Lacey Dorliac they just couldn’t get in touch and their 13 -30 defeat meant that Pixies moved level on points with JD Tyres and Hawks are now five points behind.

Otter Valley Dairy continued their run of victories with another at the expense of Blackdown Ladies.

OVD have now won six in a row and are just two points behind 3Ts in second place. It was a close game against the newcomers and it was their resilience that saw them through to their 21-15 victory. Sarah Dyer was the OVD star whilst Erika Teen caught the eye for the Ladies.
