Morritt Medal success for Jill Jeffrey

12:34 14 August 2014

Marie Timms and Penny Lyne had an excellent result in the semi-finals of the Devon Vets Foursomes knock-out competition, winning through against Okehampton to proceed to the final at Tiverton in September, writes Penny Ashby.

The Morritt Medal this Wednesday was won in convincing style by Jill Jeffrey, who scored a nett 66 and reduced her handicap by two shots.

This was Jill’s second win in three days, as she also won the married couples’ competition on Sunday with her husband.

The runner-up in the Morritt Medal, with nett 71, was Marian Thomas.
