Taunton host The Bathwick Tyres Half-Term Race Meeting on Feburary 18,

Taunton’s next fixture is on Tuesday February 18, when they stage The Bathwick Tyres Half-Term Race Meeting with the seven race card getting underway at 2.05pm, gates open at 12 noon.

The big race of the day, The Bathwick Tyres Handicap Hurdle Race, a Class 2 event over two miles and one furlong, which has a massive £18,500 up for grabs in prize money goes to post at 3.35pm.

In addition to the action on the course there will be activities to entertain children of all ages, including face painting, a bouncy castle and a dog and duck display.

There will also be a free goody bag for the first 300 children under 13 through the gate.

The management at Taunton are grateful for the continued sponsorship of Bathwick Tyres who do so much to support racing in the west country.

At the end of racing there will be a retiring collection for ‘Follow Your Dreams’ a charity devoted to raising awareness and supporting local children with learning disabilities.

Punters are reminded that a courtesy bus service departs from Taunton Railway Station and hour before the first race, picking up at the Bus Station near the town centre shortly afterwards and departing from the course 30 minutes after the final race.
