The East Devon Short Mat Bowls league saw plenty of action last week, writes Caroline Pavey.

Evening Division Two saw a home win for Sidbury B taking them off the bottom of the table.

That means that both the Evening Divisions are now completed and well done, to all the winner’s and runners-up.

Afternoon Division One saw home wins for Seaton Cliff B and St Terersa’s. Afternoon Division Two saw home wins for Chard B, Hemyock B and Seaton Cliff D.

In the League Cup Awliscombe A won 8-3 against Beer. Sidbury B gained a win in the second leg at home after over turning a 5-1 deficit to win 7-5 over the two legs against Awliscombe B.

That all means that the first semi-final will be between Awliscombe A and Sidbury B.
