The 2018 Sidmouth Bowls Club Finals Weekend was blessed with gorgeous weather and no shortage of excellent bowls, writes Carol Smith.

The 2018 Sidmouth Bowls Club Finals Weekend was blessed with gorgeous weather and no shortage of excellent bowls, writes Carol Smith.

The good weather also meant there were lots of folk taking in the action, which all made for a wonderful atmosphere around the matches.

Well done, to all those who took part and a particular well done to the competition organisers, Brenda Somerfield and David Timms.

In terms of the individual finals (runners-up are shown in brackets):

Club championship – Jill Bishop (John Mason)

Men’s championship – Mark Stephens (Bill Sheerman)
