Sidmouth golf latest – Spiller closes in on Jones in the Sidmouth Jewellers Friday League

PUBLISHED: 12:34 14 August 2014 | UPDATED: 12:34 14 August 2014

Graham Davies won the latest Sidmouth Jewellers Friday Stableford with 41 points and saw his handicap cut from 16 to 14 as a result, writes John Jonson.

Club manager Jonathan Lee continues to wonder why he was left out of the Palairet team after finishing in the places yet again, this time second place with 39 points. Meanwhile, James Spiller’s third place with 37 points means he is now just one point behind John Jones at the top of the Friday League.

However, both Jones and Spiller are nervously looking in their rear view mirrors at the ominous sight of Mark Thomas in third place. Some objects may appear closer than they are!
