With the light fading James Winchester set a blistering pass around the course and on it to score an unequalled 41 points, writes Chris Roberts,

The in-form John Jones claimed second place with a one-under par score and 40 points with his round including no fewer than five birdies!

Jones continues to get ever close to that holy grail of scratch golf with his handicap being cut from three to two.

Third place was decided on countback with Dave Bater edging out Fred The Bread and yours truly with all three closing on 37 points.

It will not be a surprise to people to learn that Jones is streaking ahead in the Friday league table.
