Sidmouth men played their third match in this season’s County Trophy League against North Devon-based Kingsley and they claimed a third successive win with an outstanding 89-58 shot victory, writes Carol Smith.

The men won on all four rinks and it all means that, at the halfway stage of the campaign, they sit proudly on top of the table having banked all but six of the 66 points they have played for since match day one!

In this latest victory, the wins included emphatic home victories by the rinks of Bill Sheerman, Allan Davies, Peter Mison and skip Jim Wherlock (29-10) and Tony Brown, Derek Limpus, John Chew and skip Bob Seldon (29-12).

Well done to the men, let’s hope the second half of the campaign brings similar success.
