Archant

Ashmoor 3, SOHC III 0

SOHC gave a very good account of themselves in a hard-fought contest against the table-toppers that involved plenty of action on the ground and in the air!

Just after kick-off the players had to battle a hailstorm, but the home side made the more potent start with a real tenacity about their play as they won a number of short corners.

SOHC defended superbly as bodies were thrown in the way to aid the cause.

The opening goal owed much to the individual flair in the home side as they netted the only goal of the first half with an unstoppable flick that nestled in the top right corner of the goal.

After the break the game followed a similar pattern to the first half with the home side the dominant force, but SOHC battling superbly both individually and collectively. A flurry of short corners led to a couple more home goals that came off the training ground in terms of their clinical execution!

The third goal proved to be the final action of the game.

SOHC might have been beaten but the table toppers trooped off knowing they had been in a tough game.
