Members of Sidmouth Golf Club have raised a magnificent sum for a local charity.

The members have recently handed over a cheque for £4004.88 to the Sid Valley Practice Equipment Fund.

The money has been raised from various activities at the club, including a sponsored parachute jump by ladies captain Ros Eaton, as well as a substantial contribution from the seniors section of the club.

Club captain John Rockey and ladies captain Ros Eaton launched the Captains’ Clock Fund at the start of their year in office and, together with the seniors’ donation, enough money was also raised to repair the turret clock on the clubhouse roof which had been out of action for many years.
